The Ultimate Health-Nut Holiday Gift Guide

Tis' the season for frantically trying to find the perfect gift for everyone on your list. Lucky you have come to the right place if that special someone is interested in health, clean beauty, or fitness! I've put together a range of items from stocking stuffers, to more lavish gifts. (My personal fav is creating a theme and mixing a few things together, like pairing the gua sha tool and the Pai oil). Enjoy!
p.s. To my lovely boyfriend, parents, and friends: I already own most of these items! Nice try!

Not only are these leggings the perfect addition to any athleisure wardrobe, but these Girlfriend Collective leggings are incredibly sustainable, each made up of 25 water bottles! Cheers to cleaning up the pre-S'well you

I cannot recommend this Gua Sha tool enough! For those of you who aren't familiar, the Gua Sha is the jade rollers long lost cousin... who is 2x more effective and 10x more durable. I love this one in particular because it's only $20! Most Gua Sha tools you will come across will cost you $60-80! For that price, you could buy 2 tools and my favourite oil to go with it (Pai BioRegenerate Oil).

This mask is a total game changer! My brother's girlfriend introduced me to it and I'm now obsessed! It is hands down the best exfoliator I've used, surpassing the infamous Kate Somerville "Exfolikate"

The Little Market has quickly become my go-to store for hostess, girlfriend, or thank you gifts. Their slogan, "A non-profit founded by women to empower women" says it all. Lauren Conrad and her girlfriend Hannah Skvarla source the most beautiful and skillful handmade goods from all over the globe to generate income for the struggling artisan women and their families.

Whether you've jumped on the P.Volve wagon yet or not, I'm sure you've heard of it. This new exercise program that's sweeping all of social media is a favourite of Victoria Secret models and stars. Speaking as someone who has joined the bandwagon, I can confirm that it's aah-mazing. The workouts aim to lengthen and tone your muscles with very specific movements that will bring the burn. You don't need any equipment to perform a lot of the workouts, but to really reap the benefits, they have their own line of equitment specifically designed for the workouts. And I admit, as over-priced and well-marketed these items are -- they are totally worth it.

There is nothing better than a night in with a good book, candles, and an Epsom salt bath. This could be the perfect part of a little gift basket for a girlfriend you know has been on overdrive. Wrap it up with a guilty pleasure book, and her favourite bottle of vino, and voila.

Scrambling for a gift at the 11th hour? Here are a few books I've read recently at you can get on Amazon Prime!! Heeeelllo 2 day delivery.

I've just discovered this natural perfume company, and I'm totally obsessed! It was created because the founder couldn't find a quality non-toxic and hypoallergenic perfume on the market, so she created her own. What I love most, is that they sell a sample box with all of their perfumes $20, and when you decide which you like the best, they give you a $20 voucher because you bought the sample pack! I also have a code for a free sample box if you're interested in it for yourself. I thought this would be a perfect "Secret Santa" gift - its sort of like a personalized gift card!

If you are interested in this, you have definitely come to the right place. I have a blog post with an inside look of what I use in my daily routine, 5-Min Makeup Routine, if you're looking for more everyday wear. Here are some of my standout choices that would make any makeup lover squeal.

Okay, this one is a little random, but I bought this about a month ago and it is a total game changer - I had to share. Its a blow dryer and styling brush in one! I've never been able to master the two-handed blowdry technique, and this has just removed the need to ever have to!

2 Ingredient Cauliflower Gnocchi (gluten free, vegan, dairy free, paleo)

Move aside cauliflower pizza, and say hello to cauliflower GNOCCHI! This 2 ingredient recipe, is unlike the other "cauliflower (fill in the blank)" recipes, in that is actually tastes and feels how it's supposed to! I used Cassava flour, which is a flour made from the root vegetable "Yucca". Yucca is rich in vitamin C, fibre, antioxidants, and potassium, unlike traditional gnocchi ingredients filled with gluten, dairy, and empty calories! Dress it just like your favourite gnocchi and indulge...

Serves 2
Ingredients

Instructions
  1. Prep a pot of boiling water on the stove
  2. Wash and roughly chop cauliflower into rice-sized pieces (bigger than the holes in your strainer)
  3. Add chopped cauliflower to a steamer basket/strainer and steam for 5-10 mins, or until cooked
  4. Place a clean dishcloth or cheesecloth over a bowl, wait until the cauliflower has cooled slightly, add the steamed cauliflower to the towel, and ring out as much liquid as you can
  5. Add the cauliflower and cassava flour a food processor and blend until a dough has formed. You may need to add more flour if the dough is too sticky
  6. Dust flour over a cutting board and add the dough, and shape it into a ball
  7. Bring another pot of water to a boil, and then turn down to a simmer
  8. Cut the dough into 4 even sections, then roll out each section with your hands into long skinny tubes, about 2 cm thick
  9. While the water is boiling, cut each tube into little gnocchi bites, I like mine 1-3 cm long. You can roll the gnocchi down a fork if you want to get fancy
  10. Place the gnocchi into the pot of water and remove stain once they float
  11. You can either finish here or pan fry them to crisp up the bottoms!
  12. Dress them however you like (I used a lemon arugula salad for the base, topped with pesto, roasted pine nuts, and lemon zest)
  13. Tag me in your posts! I'd love to see your recreations :)

Cashew Ranch Kale Chips

I have recently invested in a dehydrator, and I'm obsessed! I've made dried strawberries, carrot chips, apple chips, "sundried" tomatoes... you name it! The reason I'm so obsessed with it is that cooking low and slow in a dehydrator retains all of the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and natural enzymes in the food unlike other cooking methods like steaming, baking or sautéing. These cashew ranch kale chips are the perfect nutrient-packed snack for on the go or a movie night in!

Ingredients:
- 1 bunch curly kale
- 1 cup cashews, soaked for at least 2 hours, drained
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2-3 tbsp nutritional yeast (depending on how cheesy you want them)
- 1/2 tsp organic garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp organic onion powder
- 1/2 tsp organic dried dill
- 1 tbsp organic chives, chopped
- 3 cranks pink Himalayan mineral salt

Instructions
1. Wash, dry, de-stem, and chop kale into bite-sized pieces
2. To a blender or food processor, blend the soaked cashews, water, apple cider vinegar, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, chives and salt until thick and creamy dressing forms
3. Mix with kale and ranch dressing together in a mixing bowl - I use my hands so I can coat all the leaves!
4. Evenly place kale on your dehydrator sheets and dehydrate at 115 degrees for ~6 hours, or until crispy
5. If you don't have a dehydrator or you're a littttle impatient, bake the chips on a baking sheet at 300F for 15 mins, flip and bake for another 12 mins or until crispy

Dairy-Free Cauliflower Pizza Crust

FINALLY!!! A cauliflower crust recipe without heaps of cheese. I've been dying to make my own cauliflower pizza, but every recipe I found required a bunch of mozzarella or parmesan, so I took matters into my own hands. This recipe is extremely straightforward and delicious. Follow along on my Instagram stories to see the different topping combinations I come up with!

Ingredients

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. Wash and chop cauliflower head into florets (or skip to step 4 if using store-bought riced cauliflower)
  3. Pulse florets in a food processor (or blender) until cauliflower appears "riced"
  4. Steam riced cauliflower in a mesh strainer for 5 minutes until soft
  5. Transfer to a cheesecloth (or clean kitchen towel) and let it cool
  6. Squeeze out as much liquid as you can, the less water the better
  7. Transfer "dough" to a bowl and mix in all the other ingredients
  8. Shape your pizza dough on the baking sheet to around 1/4 inch (no thinner or it will tear)
  9. Bake for 30 mins until golden
  10. Add toppings and bake for another 5 mins
  11. Slice and enjoy!!
